Corrections Corporation of America announced Wednesday that Arizona has awarded the company to manage up to 752 Arizona inmates at its 752-bed Huerfano County Correctional Center in Colorado. The Company currently houses approximately 2,100 inmates from the state of Arizona at its Diamondback Correctional Facility located in Oklahoma pursuant to a separate management contract.

Arpaio raids AZ City Hall

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio made headlines again yesterday, raiding City Hall and the Main Library in Mesa, Arizona for illegal immigrants hired to clean the facilities. The raid further escalated already tense relations between Arpaio and city officials as well as Mesa Police Chief George Gascón. Only thee individuals were arrested at the library for forged identification to gain employment with the cleaning company, reported  the NYT.
